Comparison

CallerPro vs. an AI receptionist

An AI receptionist answers, qualifies and books, which CallerPro does too. The difference is everything after the call: the invoice, the payment, the follow-up and the record. Here is where the two differ, and when a receptionist-only tool is enough.

Stripe Apple Pay Secure checkout by Stripe · your card details never touch CallerPro

Adding a card is what gets you a real phone number with your agent answering on it. You pay $0 today, nothing is charged for 14 days, and you can cancel from Settings before then.

CallerPro is an AI front-office platform for small home-service businesses. Starter answers calls, qualifies leads, books appointments and notifies you. Pro and Scale add invoicing, payments and Books reporting, with the relevant integrations configured.

Choose a typical ai receptionist if…

  • Your invoicing and payments already run in ServiceTitan or Jobber, which CallerPro doesn’t integrate with today
  • You only ever need calls answered and messages taken
  • You aren’t a home-service business, so trade-specific triage doesn’t help you

Choose CallerPro if…

  • You have no office staff, so every step after the call lands on you
  • You want the booked job to become an invoice and a payment without re-typing anything
  • You run a plumbing, HVAC, electrical or similar crew and want the agent to triage like one

The comparison that matters. A full-time receptionist costs about $3,168 a month in wages alone (U.S. median $18.27/hour, BLS, May 2025) and covers 40 hours a week. CallerPro Starter is $79 a month and answers nights and weekends too.

Your money goes to you. CallerPro is never the merchant of record. Card payments settle into your own Stripe account, and Venmo, Cash App, Zelle and PayPal pay you directly.

FAQ

Common questions

What if I only need call answering?

Starter at $79 a month covers answering, qualifying, booking during the call, Google Calendar sync and appointment reminders with 250 talk-minutes. Invoicing, payments and books reporting are added on Pro, so you can start small and move up when you want the rest.

Does CallerPro work with my field-service software?

It books into Housecall Pro and syncs with Google Calendar, and it can be your system of record if you use no software at all. ServiceTitan and Jobber are not supported today.

Does it sound like a robot?

It speaks in a natural voice and introduces itself as your virtual assistant. The best test is your own trial number: call it, play a customer, and read the transcript afterwards.
